• Articles - Each of our "on-line" presentations has a "Concierge" function allowing you to associate your business with each presentation we put up. Being found associated with the theme of an article can be a highly effective way for you to attract viewers to your business. For example, if you are a B&B in Ulster County, being found on the Hudson Valley Wineries Article makes it a simple thing for people wanting to visit the wineries to know you are right there for them to stay at. If you are a restaurant or antiques shop in the Great Estates area, being associated with our Great Estates Guide means that people coming to visit the estates will know of you and include you in their plans, simply and easily.
• Itineraries - Our itineraries are created to be printed out by the viewer and taken with them as guides to the Valley. The mechanism is slightly different for you to be included on an itinerary. We accept "business card" sized graphic ads and directly include them in the printing of the itinerary. This gets your business ad directly into their hands, right there in the itinerary as they plan their visit.
• Interactive Valley Map - On our Interactive Valley Map, you can associate your business with any single, or group of map grid segments. Viewers of the map can easily print out the section they are most interested in. When they do so all of the businesses shown on the map are included in the print out. Additionally, any business that has associated itself with one of the map grid segments being printed is also included! You go into the system, design the coupon, include graphics, include text, lay out your coupon. Then you specify what the subject of the coupon is and where within the Valley it is to be found. The viewer requests to receive Discount Coupons either directly on-line during one of their visits to HV/Net or through their Opt-In E-Mail Subscription. In either case, they say what they are interested in and where geographically their interest is. Behind the scenes, we match up your specifications with theirs and only display and charge for your Discount Coupon Delivery when a match is found. This insures that the people seeing your Discount Coupon want to see it!
• Announcements work in a similar way, except they are not necessarily offering a discount. Instead, you can use Announcements to let customers know of sales, of new items, of whatever you think will bring them into your place of business. Viewers can search for relevant Announcements directly on-line or request to receive them via their Opt-In E-Mail Subscription. In either case, just like with Discount Coupons, we only deliver and charge for your Announcement when there is a match between your specifications and those of the viewer.

Both of these systems are totally interactive for you at all times. You directly maintain both, changing, adding or removing, as you see your marketing needs change. We track each Coupon and Announcement showing you how many times each has been delivered to a viewer or subscriber. On the most basic level, every word within your Business Information presentation is individually indexed and available to the Query Engine.

There are times that you may wish to have other words associated with your business. Things like nearby attractions or brand names or other words that have meaning and are likely to be used by a viewer in searching HV/Net for places to go spend their time and money. Frequently these words are just inappropriate to be included within the description you create for your business.

By purchasing "Query Engine Keywords", you are able to silently associate these words directly with a specific Business Category in which you will be found. Each group of words is Business Category specific, meaning that you can have totally different silent Query Engine Keywords for each category you are qualified into!

Query Engine Keywords are available in groups of 25. There is no enhancement level requirement for this feature.

HV/Net maintains a highly visited "Getaways" presentation allowing visitor related businesses in the Valley to create special presentations whose sole purpose is to show the businesses in it's best light and get people to click onto your web page. In theory, a "getaway" is something that you have packaged and is not available to the average customer.

In practice, this package concept can be just about anything you want. Viewers come into our Getaways presentation and click on things that are within their interest. If you are to be found in the interest area they want, then they click on you and are presented with a fully isolated page showing nothing but what you want them to see. It is not even branded with HV/Net's identity, it's just you.

All we require is that you provide us with either a fully implemented HTML web page, complete with either all the graphics necessary to support it or containing the necessary internal URL calls to find them. If you need, you can hire us at our standard hourly rate to create the presentation for you. Whenever you want to change your presentation, just get us the new web page! It's that simple!
